Our Returns Policy

At Lampenliebe, we're dedicated to crafting handmade lampshades that illuminate your home with beauty and exclusivity. We understand, however, that sometimes a purchase might not fully meet your expectations. That's why we want you to feel secure and at ease when choosing our products. Our returns policy fully complies with German and European Union consumer protection laws, ensuring your rights and our transparency.
Right of Withdrawal: Your Right to Change Your Mind

You have the right to cancel your purchase at any time, from the moment you place your order online until 14 calendar days after receiving your lampshade. To exercise this right, it's essential that you clearly inform us of your decision, preferably by email at contact@lampenliebe.com within this 14-day period. There's no need to justify your decision; simply changing your mind is sufficient.

Once you notify us of the cancellation, you'll have another 14 calendar days to send the product back to us. For the return to be accepted and the refund processed, the lampshade must be in its original condition, without signs of use, damage, or alterations that would prevent its resale. We ask that all accessories and original packaging be included.

After receiving and verifying the returned product, we'll process a full refund of the amount paid, including standard shipping costs (if applicable), within 14 calendar days. The refund will be issued using the same original payment method.


Returns Outside the Right of Withdrawal Period

We understand that unforeseen circumstances happen. If a return request is made after the 14-day withdrawal period, but within 2 months from the delivery date, we will issue a store credit for the value of the returned item(s). This credit can be used for future purchases at Lampenliebe.

It's important to note that, to ensure fairness and the viability of our handmade business, no credits or refunds will be provided if the return request is made more than 2 months after the delivery date.


Personalized and Custom Lampshades: A Unique Creation Just for You

Our lampshades are meticulously handmade to order, which makes them truly unique. However, for personalized or custom-made items, including those created with customer-supplied materials or with sizes and color combinations that are not part of our standard stock collection, no refunds or store credits will be issued.

We believe that personalization is a collaborative process. Therefore, when ordering a custom item, we ask that you pay special attention to the measurements and details of your space. We'll be happy to assist with sizing tips and clarify any doubts to ensure your personalized lampshade fits perfectly in your environment. IMPORTANT: Please remember that product colors may vary slightly from what you see on your computer, cell phone, or tablet screen due to different display settings.


Return Shipping Costs

For returns due to right of withdrawal (change of mind), the cost of return shipping is the buyer's responsibility, unless otherwise agreed. If the return is due to a manufacturing defect or our error, we will, of course, cover the costs.

It's crucial that you notify us about the damage within 24 hours of receiving your order. This promptness is essential for us to initiate the claim process with the shipping carrier.

To help us process your request and seek appropriate compensation, we'll need you to provide the following documentation:

  • Clear photos of the damaged lampshade: Clearly showing the points of damage.
  • Photos of the original packaging: Including the box inside and out, especially if there are signs of external impact. It's important to keep the packaging, as it's essential evidence for the carrier.

Formalizing the Incident with the Shipping Carrier

To ensure that compensation for the damaged order can be processed correctly, it's essential that the damage is formally documented according to the procedures of your country's shipping carrier (postal service or delivery service).

We recommend that you:

  1. Contact your local shipping carrier as soon as possible to report the incident and understand the specific steps for formalizing the claim.
  2. Request proof or a protocol number for your claim with the shipping carrier, if one is provided.
By providing us with the photos and, if applicable, proof of formalization with the shipping carrier, we can proceed with the compensation process and offer you the best solution, whether it's sending a new product or a full refund.
